OTTAWA, ON – Canadian Parents for French is pleased to announce the appointment of Nancy McKeraghan as CPF National President and Wendy Carr as CPF National Vice President effective October 15, 2017.

A longstanding and active member of the organization from Ontario, Nancy McKeraghan, brings over 20 years of service to CPF as well as expertise in governance, advocacy and chapter development. McKeraghan succeeds community and civic leader, Karen Lynch, as Board Chair. Lynch from Canmore, Alberta, is stepping down after a year as Chair and 3 years as a Director. We want to thank her for her dedicated service which involved many significant accomplishments, including her role in building effective working relationships with government stakeholders.

Wendy Carr of Vancouver, BC, enters her second term on the CPF National Board as Vice President. Carr offers experience in FSL research, teacher education and FSL programming.

The CPF National Board also welcomes newest Board members Kate Peters and Richard Slevinsky, both of Alberta, as well as returning Directors Derrek Bentley, Sharon Lapkin and Valerie Pike.

With such strong leadership at the helm, the CPF Network is confident in its abilities to successfully move ahead with the continued promotion and advancement of French second language learning opportunities for all those who call Canada home.
