Les Rencontres Professionelles is a live webinar series running from January to May 2024, that features professionals from around the globe sharing about their careers and home countries in French!
Featured presenters spanning from a wide variety of career paths will engage attendees by highlighting how French-English bilingualism has impacted their personal and professional lives, which will be followed by an interactive Q&A session. We invite all French classes (grade 7 to 12) to join and learn more about how bilingualism has opened pathways and benefitted the careers of our presenters!

FEATURING: COLINE TISSERAND
For Coline Tisserand, learning languages is like having extra keys to open new doors on the world. Originally from a small village in France, her love of languages has led her to live in Quebec, Germany, Peru and now Newfoundland. A teacher of French as a foreign language and freelance journalist for Le Gaboteur, she now works for the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Librairies (NLPL) as a French services specialist.
Pour Coline Tisserand, apprendre des langues c’est comme posséder des clés supplémentaires pour ouvrir de nouvelles portes sur le monde. Originaire d’un petit village en France, son goût pour les langues l’a amené à vivre au Québec, en Allemagne, au Pérou et aujourd’hui à Terre-Neuve. Professeure de francais langue étrangère, journaliste pigiste au Gaboteur, elle travaille aujourd’hui pour les bibliothèques publiques de TNL comme spécialiste des services en français.
